Hi,
I am about to update our club's Joomla 3.7.5 to the latest version, 3.8.1. (Traction template)
Some questions:
1 - Did the 3.8.1 update fix the disappearing menu problem so I don't have to do the patch?
2 - If not, should I install the patch BEFORE the update or after?
3 - Your instructions recommend using Filezilla, which I usually use (v3.27.1, Mac OS 10.11.6), however I noticed some threads on this board where people had trouble using FZ on Macs, some of their template files missing or changed because they were overwritten. Has this been resolved?
4 - Should I use another FTP client like CyberDuck which I believe has a Merge function and if so, which do you recommend?

Sorry for the questions, but I'm a relative newbie working on an site I "inherited", and still feeling my way through it.  Smiley

Thank you,
Burns

Hello,

1. Yes it fixes the menu issue.
2. It doesn't matter when you do it, it won't affect anything either way as its just a file that gets changed in the patch.
3. We've tested on a Mac with FileZilla and don't have any issues. We aren't sure what is happening for some folks but it works the same as on PC.
4. We recommend FileZilla

Thanks,
