Hi,

I have some troubles with the submenu's using the Legal Lawyer template. The submenu's as well as the subsubmenu's are positioned in the right way after loading the website.

After a full pagescroll however the submenu and the subsubmenu is independently of the main item; it looks as shown in image wwernsen 1.jpg.

I installed and updatet the siteshaper of Legal Lawyer to see where the problem might be, however...... the same: image LLawyer.jpg.

Hope you can help.

Hello Rob,

Do you get this same issue on our demo too?

Ok. Myself and mike here tested this and its kind of hard to get the menu to actually do this. Normal scrolling up and down shouldn't cause this for an average site visitor. What you can do is change the hide delay speed and shorten it to maybe 0 in the menu area of Vertex.

Hi Jonahh,

I already tried to set the hide delay to "0" as well as the effect to "snap" but still the same.... It is not that difficult to let the menu do this: after you have scrolled down and go back to the top you just scroll down again... just a little, so the gray topbar is not visible anymore, and the issue is there....

I noticed this issue is also the same with the Corpway-template: see attached image. Apparently this is issue (only) happening if above the menu is a logo / space...?!

Which browser are you using? I can't replicate this on the Corpway demo here on our site.

Hi Jonahh,

I use Firefox as well as Chrome and Microsoft Edge for daily use and for testing the websites I make.

Hmm yeah we can't replicate this on our demo's like your screenshots. I would suggest using a different computer and test it because 2 of us here can't replicate this. It might be a local issue.

Jonahh,

I work with 3 different computers: showing all the same issue with all 3 browsers I mentioned before.

Today I downloaded the Legal Lawyer shaper and installed it on a subdomain: legal.robsplace.nl to see what's happening... I did not update the site with the latest Joomla-version and the latest Vertex. Mysql-version is 5.6.27, pHp-version 7.0.25... Just the same issue!!!!

The only way I can get it to happen is if I put my mouse on one of the menu items. The sub menu shows. Then while still hovering I scroll down the page and then back up. No one is going to do this in a real live site scenario. Plus the menu re-adjusts next time it opens. The only time it didn't readjust is if it want crazy fast scrolling and hovering up and down the page. Which again isn't a live site scenario.

Jonahh,

I understand what you're trying to say. But when a user is scrolling down the page and is scrolling up again (NOT using the arrow ... scrolltotop), just untill the menu is visable, so NOT completely to the top, than the submenu and subsubmenu is losing the connection with the main menu item.

I agree it might not be a big issue for the average user, but it is very anoying if you know it is there, so the user might possible quit the website sooner. Besites it is NOT as it should be!

If it really bothers you the best thing to do would be to turn off the floating menu. I think this should do it. The floating menu makes the JavaScript re-position the menu. Perhaps try this?

https://www.yukoneurope.eu/

I hover over to Services and scroll the mouse wheel... The menu moves with my page.
I hover over Forward gold sales and scroll the wheel, the  menu keeps moving till the end of page...
The menu stays there till i remove the mouse from it.

Think its same issue.

Did you try disabling the floating menu?
