Hi,

Let me start off by saying that I am a newbie to Joomla! and I am learning, slowly..... I looked at the tutorial on the s5tab show, but something is not clear to me. The module that I am supposed to publish is what module? And how do I place content in the tab area. The tutorial is not clear to me on this. For instance in your demo you have four tabs and when you click on any of them, new content shows in that area. I'm just not getting how that is done.

Also, can I publish the frontpage display to just the homepage or is that not an option?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello,

Yes you can publish the frontpage display to just the homepage.  Just assign the module to whatever pages you want it to show on.

The tab show is built into the template and will only show when you publish modules to the positions inside of it.  So following the tutorial:

http://www.shape5.com/demo/eden_rock/content/view/16/52/

You first have to add the module positions: s5_tab1 and so on.  Then take a module on your site, perhaps the login module and publish it to the s5_tab1 position.  This will then make the s5 tab show appear.

Regards,

I had the same problem/question. If the tabs should help organizing contents then they should be linkable to content: articles, etc. The workaround I used is to set up my own category per individual menu item, associate this category to a module, and publish this module to the S5 tab show position. It is a bit cumbersome, but this is the only way I managed to link the tab to contents without the display being random.
