As the title says, after the update, front-end editing does not work anymore, the page seems to freeze. It is with multiple Joomla websites that have been updated to 3.8.6. Both on live servers (Siteground) and local builds with MAMP Pro (latest version). In the backend you can work normal. Other times the page simply reloads without you can edit.
Last Joomla (3.8.6) version using S5 templates.  It is happening in more then one  S5 template.
Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Hello,

A template doesn't actually control the editing, that's all controlled through Joomla. I just tested two of our templates in 3.8.6 and it's working with no issues. I would suggest disabling any third party extensions you have enabled in case they are interfering with Jooml'a scripts.

Installed a 3rd one, now only one language.. Seems now it is ok.. There is something not ok with the latest Joomla version. Both other installs (Dutch and English) give same issue.

Maybe you guys can find out or see more related to this.. Dunno where to look anymore.

PS.
My other question about Masonry in the Masonry section?

Hello,

I am not sure, I am testing in 3.8.6 as well and I am not experiencing any of those issues. Again, this is all controlled through Joomla though, not the template. So perhaps the latest version of Joomla is having problems with certain hosting environments.

I don't see a question about Masonry?

Hi,

Got still 2 sites with this issue. Still don?t have a clue. Updating to the latest version did not help either. No one seen the problem, also asked on other forums. Seems to be random?

I have send the url in pm.

When I looked into this I was able to order the articles on your site and set to show at the bottom? I had showed you this. I wasn't aware there was any issue with it still?

Hi Jonah,

It is are not the articles, that was great help.

It is related to frontend editing, trying this the website freeze. You have to reload the page. No editing possible.

It is an odd issue. Asked on several people..no one knows or have seen it.  Seems to be random. No one knows. That was my reply, in general. You are the most helpful guy I ever met. I will change the reply.. reading it back it looks like I mean S5.. Not what I ment. It was in general. Maybe language barrier.

It is on 2 of my sites on my working server. They are not public. One site is ok, the other site was unable to edit from the frontend. Installed another template and that one was fine.. Beats me.

When I am home I can give the login, maybe you can see what is wrong.

Yes please give me the login to the site not working and I can dig into it. Also, is there any server caching difference between the 2 sites?
