Hello Jonah,

I have a strange problem with my joomla city portal installation. First: My joomla website is working well. But in addition, I have installed a copy on my computer / localhost as well. Here now I have some menu-problems:

I have created a menu with 22 menu items, all of the "article layout type", which means, that all the menu-items link to a specific article. Of those 22 menu-items, 18 are o.k., they link correct to the  article. 4 menu-items are not doing this, I get a 404 (Component not found) error message. I have deleted the menu items, after that created them new. I made sure that they were set up exactly the way the working menu items are. Whatever article (under parameter basics ) I select, I always get the 404 error message, with all of those none working menu items.

Jonah, how can I trace the problem? 1. Where are the articles stored in joomla ?
2. I guess there is a php file linking the menu-items to a specific content, where can I find this file ?
Another strange thing, may be connected to this problem: In media-manager under images/stories I suddenly have a folder called index.php-Dateien, with a few icons in it, but also with files, like:style.css ; template.css. ;suckerfish.css and so on.  I did not put the folder there and I can?t figure out what it?s original location is supposed to be.

Thanks
Karl

Hey Karl,

Do you have SEF URLs enabled in your global configuration?

In regards to the media manager, I have no idea whats going on there, thats quite odd.
