Hi Mike!

I am trying to use this template for a site that requires the inclusion of a full-width logo.

http://micro5.mscc.huji.ac.il/~occupther/new/

However, once I uploaded the logo.gif file and adjusted its dimensions (906 x 96 px) in the html file, a wide gap appeared between the logo and the color bar.

What have I done wrong and how can I fix it?

Thanx in advance -

Lev

Hello, you have modified the index.php file of the template. Please put it back to it's original settings and once you have done that all that needs updated is add this to the bottom of your template_css file:

#s5_header_tools, #s5_header_banner {
display:none;
}

Then in the index.php increase the width of the logo file.

Mike,

thanx for a speedy response. Looks better now - see http://micro5.mscc.huji.ac.il/~occupther/new/ -

but I'd like the logo image to be sitting right on the thin horizontal line above the dark-colored bar with the date. how can I remove the surplus width please?

If you add this to the bottom of the template_css.css file it will move up:

#s5_header_holder {
height:96px;
}

Mike,

I'd like to modify the request. How can I decrease the height of the space above the thin horizontal line to make it equal to the height of the logo image?

See the attached image: at the moment, the date bar is ABOVE the thin line. I'd rather leave it where it used to be (BELOW the line) - but decrease the height of the space above it to "attach" the logo image to the line from above.

Where is the setting that determines this height?

TIA -

You have to modify the image:

templates/userchoice/images/light/s5_main_bg.jpg
