Hello All,

We just updated the media player to include a thumbnail image option (preview image) so that before the movie is playing or when it is stopped it will show an image that you specify.

Enjoy!

We're having difficulties with the new mediaplayer.  After uploading the movies they often stutter. Is there a solution to let the videos buffer before playing or any other solution. What resolution is preferable for the videos?

Please an answer!

Hello,

This code is the same so I'm not sure why the videos stutter.  The video will buffer before playing on page load, if you click on a new video it will buffer and play at the same time.  There is no feature to stop this from happening besides someone manually pausing the video.

Right below the icon image in the admin of the module you'll see the next text field to enter the preview image.

I have similiar problem. I tend to think that software does adapt the size. What format and size shall the preview image have?

The easiest way to see (because depending on aspect ratio it can change) is to take a screenshot and then just crop down to what you see onscreen.  This way you'll get it to the exact size by just placing your preview image on the image you cropped.

New new ?  I would like to see a (timeframe for a) version of this media player that collects videos from categories created for the purpose of collecting relevant ones (and text and thumbnail), instead of relying on static hardcoded video adresses. Is this possible i a short timeframe?

Could you put in the version number of Mediaplayer and maybe every other extension and modules you build so that we can quickly and easily see which version we are running by looking in the Module Details page in the backend of Joomla.?

I am looking for the version number of media Player I downloaded and cannot see it anywhere and I cannot spot any any difference in the latest file I downloaded. Where are you new versions available for download? The members extension area doesn't seem to have the new files.

Confused

If you just downloaded a version of the player then you have the newest version as all downloads of it have been updated.

We actually did update the XML so that in the backend of Joomla it should now display 2.0.0 instead of the old 1.0.0

I wish I had been able to read all these comments about problems with the player (company).

I've spent all afternoon on something that should be the simplest damn thing.

There's something very wrong when the a mod causes this much trouble, so early and what should

be an easy install.

Hello,

I'm sorry you are experiencing such trouble.  Can you explain what is going on?   Or if you are really frustrated just shoot me over Joomla and FTP login details (private message me) and I can get this working for you on whatever page you desire.
