I apologize if this has already been brought up and dealt with - I couldn't find any mention of it.

I've been trying to reduce/change the number of items that get displayed on the front page.  According to the "mainmenu" item, I currently have:
Leading: 1
Intro: 2
Column: 1

Now, with most settings (i.e. different variations on the above numbers), the first page looks great and works well with the layout.  However, when you go "next" or page 2, the layout gets all messed up.  This happens with every setting that I have tried.

I just want to have 2-3 articles on the first page with the rest paginating, which is does, but I need the subsequent pages to be laid out correctly.  Any help at all would be appreciated.
