I'm having a problem with virtuemart 1.0.14 in Joomla 1.0.13 and can't figure out how to "turn it on" backend all seems fine. click on componets and mart control panel works fine. but can't find it in modules or menu. nothing on front page. I know this isn't a problem of Shape5 but you answer really quick. I also have your emercantilism template installed.

also I have installed joomla 1.5 on different site to play around with it and installed ur user choice template,now i can't find the admin link to log in the backend....all I know is( http://.../administrator/?) can't remember the rest. where did the link go in 1.5?

Thanks

For the shop to show, you have to create a menu item in the main menu to point to virtuemart. Also to have virtuemart modules, you have to install the virtuemart modules which are included with component you downloaded. The zip file includes several modules that you can install and use.

to get to the administrator login for the backend, just add /administrator to your site, and hit enter.
http://www.yoursite.com/administrator

The link to the administrator login is in the same menu as in 1.0.x. you must have unpublished the menu module or published it to a hidden module position

There are two ways depending how you want to show it on your frontend.

Just a link with webshop, to the actual webshop (flypage) page;
Go in the backend to mainmenu > new > component > next >
Choose virtuemart as component and fill in a name, as you like to see it appear in the mainmenu.
Klik on save, finished!

You want to show all the virtuemart categories on the frontpage?
Install the mod_virtuemart_1.0.14.tar and publish it on the same position (usually left) as the maninmenu or any other position you like.

Best regards,

Frans
