I'm a little confused here.

I have the same problem where after trying to upload the template I get this error

ERROR: Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

I've installed templates from shape5 in the past and I recall if this was an issue because it was a while ago.

Any install instructions for this would be awesome.

I was the same never had an issue, have you made your tmp folder 777?
When it comes to the extensions they are in one general zip so need to be extracted before uploaded.

If that does not work for you the modules can just be uploaded to the modules folder on your server via ftp.

There must have been a problem with my 1.5 install. I removed it and reinstalled and the theme loaded.

This will be the first time I have done this on my own so I do have a couple other questions if you don't mind.

The theme installed correctly i assume but it looks nothing like the demo. I would like to have the rotating images as well which was what brought me to upgrading the theme in the first place but I can't seem to be able to figure out how that works.

What am I missing?

If you did not install the site shaper you will have to install the extensions, go to the download section and download the extensions for that theme, you need to then manually intall them and then configure, if your new to joomla the site shaper would be easer for you to install.
