Hi,
I first installed Sportopolis template ...but I think the Emma Smooth looks nice so I installed the template but when I tried to install the extensions/plugins it could not do that because there where other S5_xxxx already installed.

So I deleted some plugins ... but I think I messed up my Joomla environment?
I accidently removed the the frontpage news.... I've to tried to create a new one.... but when I create news and click that it shall be visible on the front page it messes up my page.

Also when i Click on News in the top menu I get an error... Do I have to reinstall everything or is there something here that I'm missing?

Website:   www.bmxsweden.se

Any ideas?

/Mike

Hello, when you are changing templates you do not need to reinstall or delete any plugins or modules.

I am looking at your site but I do not see any articles not showing correctly or any modules.

Hi Mike,
I also see that the articles do work right now??? .... and you haven't fixed anything?
All day it generated errors trying to open articles?

...strange?

However the two ads that should be placed to the right seems to be placed below the white area.

Any hints on how to solve that?  ....also I have tried to get the user menu visible on the left side when you are logged in.... but everything I try to put on the left side does not show.... hmm.... maybee I'll have to read more about Joomla.  Roll Eyes

Hello, it's possible your browser had some old cache from the old template.

Your ads are showing on the right side in FF but below in IE because the ads are larger than the available space. You need to either increase the right column in the template configuration or reduce the width of the ads into the ads show in the correct area.

This template doesn't have a left position. Please see the following for available positions:

Thks again Mike... that explains why I cannot put things to the left.  Grin

I moved the user menu to the right... when I try to login I see that my first problem remains.

When I log In i get the following error message:

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet Site http://www.bmxsweden.se/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&ltermid=1&lang=sv.
Operation aborted

I only see the the top menu.... if I click "home" (Hem) or "News" (Nyheter) I get the same error message.
If i click "Guesbook" (G?stbok) it works and I can see the user menu to the right... on the guestbook page I can log out.

When I'm not logged in everthing seems OK.

Hi Mikek,
thanks for taking your time with this problem... you suggested to change to another server.

I had the Phoca Gallery installed .... but with no images in the gallery.
When I added som pictures to the gallery the login problem seems to be solved?

Could this cause a problem like this?
