I have adobe photoshop, but I am not very proficient with it. Can someone tell me how I would edit the text in the logo and change it to the name of my site?

thanks,
Tim

Hello Tim,

You'd have to open up the PSD in Photoshop and then in the tools area of photoshop select the text tool.  With this you can change the logo text.

I can easily delete the "City", but how do I change the text of the word "Portal" to something else? I want to keep the black box around the word, but I can't get it to work.

You can only do this via Photoshop using the text tool (horiztonal type tool)

Thanks for the reply and please forgive my ignorance on all things Adobe. Do I have to erase the text that is currently there and  then type my own, or is there a way to edit the text? If I could edit the text, then I could keep the black box around the 2nd word. So far, I have been unable to find away to edit the existing text.

Thanks,
Tim

If you are using the PSD from the downloads area you can edit, change, delete the text as it is a separate layer from the black box in the background.  You are using the PSD not just the logo png file correct?
