I understand the background image is fixed, but has white sides beyond background width, where can I change the background color from white to something else, looked in template.css.css, or maybe I can make the background images wider, I want the whole background to be mostly the same color...

Hello, if there is white being shown that means the image is not large enough for the background, you would need to increase the image size and re-upload it.

i have the same problem. I've seen at least 2 other similar posts and i'm not sure if the administrators understand the issue. I'm looking at the S5 demo and my siteshaper install on the same 15" laptop and i havent changed the settings but the white side margins appear on my install.

I've just noticed that with this install 1.5.13 all the fonts have in the backend have gone very small. Maybe its not a problem with S5 but the way joomla is configured in siteshaper?

please advise

UPDATE: I have upgraded to joomla version 1.5.15 and the resolution problem is still there.

I have checked the template width and it is set to 950px wide which seems correct. When i switch tabs between the S5 Demo and my install you can clearly see the scren resolution changing and the whole page shrinking on my install.

UPDATE 2: I have uninstalled the site shaper and now installed a fresh joomla 1.5.15 install and uploaded the emma smooth template and i still get the same problem.

The other templates appear normal but as soon as i switch to emma smooth the page shriks.

Hello, this will happen if the image is not large enough to cover the area of the screen. You must increase the size of the image and upload a large image as mentioned above.

I'm sure its nothing to do with the image. Its the same image as in the demo and when you right click and view the image it fills the screen.

As i said previously the body of the site is smaller than the demo even though it is set to the default 950px.

thanks
